I visited Tayloys last year while in Porto—really enjoyed it! I am just doing notes and can’t remember what the X with the numbers in them on the barrels mean. Could you please explain. We saw this during our tour and I have pictures of it but can’t remember what it signifies. Thanks and please respond to the above email.
Can you recommend where I can buy a pair of port tongs like those being used on your website? Whatever I see available in the US or UK is the much larger kind with a distant side approach, rather than the “down from atop” that are on your site.
Would hate to break my 1977 Taylor by accidentally knocking it over from the side during approach!
Thank you for your help.
